for individuals and families experiencing serious financial difficulties

Budgeting Classes:

covering importance of budgeting, budget setup, using credit wisely, consequences of credit, and how to set financial goals

Representative Payee Services:

assist individuals receiving Social Security to better budget expenses and to ensure basic needs expenses are covered

Operation Concern

Maranatha is a clearinghouse for Operation Concern providing "last resort" assistance for emergency help/special programs to support families and individuals with basic needs such as food, lodging, furniture, medicine, etc.
Also, tutoring provided by Chambersburg Community Improvement Association.

Food Pantry:

A place to receive top quality food and build lasting relationships: lighting hearts to make a difference.

Pre-Closing Counseling:

for first time home buyers as required by PHFA and financial institutions

Transitional Housing:

assist homeless families with housing and support services to help them achieve self- sufficiency.  Applicants accepted by agency referrals only.

PA Housing Counseling:

assist families and individuals in danger of mortgage foreclosure

Job Placement:

Providing opportunities for individuals in findong jobs that lead to self-sufficiency.

Drug and Alcohol Counseling:

Reverse Mortgage:

counsel families to better understand the effect of a reverse mortgage, how it can help with retirement or pay house tax, etc.
